I started on July 1st in 2006 at Pemstar in Almelo (The Netherlands).
In January 2007, this site was relabeled into Benchmark Electronics B.V.
For me, this company was formerly known as Fluke. Benchmark Electronics offers
engineering and production facilities for hightech electronic
and mechanic products. The right partner for anybody who wants his
idea to become real. The main office is in the USA (Rochester/Minnesota)
and other sites are available in Ireland, Singapore, Japan,
Roemania (Brasov) and -last but not least- Netherlands (Almelo).
The activities of Benchmark have three focus areas:

Engineering
At this department very first ideas are transformed in winning concepts.
This includes fast prototyping for winning product introduction.
Also cost reduction by deep cost analysis is included.
This happens by using advanced and leading technologies.
This includes developments of test- and productionsystems.

Manufacturing
Here the ideas become real products by using most modern
production techniques. Real products. Ongoing quality improvements
are ensuring on time delivery by using strict purchase and logistics.

Fulfillment
It doesn't stop after engineering and production. By means of
fulfillment is taken care of production configuration,
worlwide distribution and product warrenty handling and repair.
By coupling order systems of customers worldwide services
can be delivered.

Ik am working as a Design Engineer at "Engineering" department.
I usually am occupied by realising concept ideas into
software, digitale hardware and -if needed- analoge hardware.
At first, I started developing parts of lithografic machinery.
Nowadays, I'm working on parts for a new and very big passenger airplane...
